Event Description: Albuquerque’s economic future depends on more than job creation, it depends on whether working families can afford to put down roots. This forum meeting will begin with a data-driven presentation from Mike Loftin, outlining the region’s housing challenges, Homewise’s scalable solutions, and catalytic projects supported by state and county investment. A follow-up panel discussion with County Manager Cindy Chavez and Secretary for the Department of Workforce Solutions Sarita Nair will explore how public dollars are advancing projects across the housing spectrum, from entry-level rental and ownership to workforce and other housing. Stay tuned for what policy support is needed in the next legislative session to accelerate impact.
